Runway Favourite: Michael Kors (RTW)

Fashion is an industry that is constantly growing, and each year the amount of Fashion Weeks around the world increases and more and more designers are showcasing their talent. Among the hundreds of fashion shows presented each season, there are always going to be stronger lines than others. Over the course of the fall and winter season, I will showcase my favourite looks from what I feel are the best shows of the bunch. To begin my runway favourites, I have chosen Michael Kors who showed a very classy and beautiful ready to wear line for this season.

Achromatics: Known for his use of brights from the entire colour spectrum, Michael Kors tones things down a little this season and adds some beautiful achromatic pieces to his line. This choice did not impact his ability to make everything chic and feminine, using watercolour techniques and an overall gloss to give you sophistication and glamour in one.

Pretty Colours: Of course we were going to see colour in this collection! Staying true to his design asthetic, Kors relies on beautiful colours that are not only fresh and feminine, but steal the spotlight too. Purples, mustard yellows and grassy greens are dominant, with light pink accents throughout. So join in and channel your girly side.

Sophisticated Neutrals: It‘s not just the colour palette that screams lady chic, it‘s the silhouettes and fabrics too. Leave it to Kors to bring style to your career, with these wonderful designs. An obvious favourite is the super sexy pencil skirt, and don‘t forget some fur (faux or real) for a touch of glamour. Who says good girls have to be boring?
Check back soon to find who‘s next on my list of Fall‘s best runway shows!
